ROTATIONAL Y3 ENGINEER - 40+M S/Y

PMR Recruitment is looking for a hands-on, adaptable Rotational Y3 Engineer for a 40+ meter sailing yacht. The ideal candidate should be a Y3 or SV Chief Engineer, or someone very close to obtaining their SV Chief certification. This role is perfect for a sailing engineer who is comfortable working in smaller spaces and sometimes at an angle, but more importantly, someone who has the right attitude and is willing to tackle challenges head-on. We need someone who sees fixing things off the beaten path as a positive challenge, not a drama. The role requires a problem-solver who is good with fault finding and creative fixes.

The yacht is heading back to the Mediterranean for the season before making its way around to the Pacific after a regatta winter in the Caribbean. This position requires an engineer who cannot rely on ordering parts via FedEx or expect overnight delivery, nor can they call someone to fly in and fix things. We need someone who can work independently and creatively, especially when in remote locations. The ideal candidate will also be excited by the adventure of long-distance sailing and enjoy activities such as diving, kiting, and mountain biking when the owners are aboard.

The start date for this role is mid-May in Palma, following the maintenance period after returning from the Caribbean.
